Sharon Zayac, OP, a Dominican from Springfield, IL, has degrees in secondary education, hospital administration and Earth Literacy. Sharon is co-founder of Jubilee Farm, her congregation’s 164-acre center for ecology and spirituality. She writes, lectures, and gives retreats in and outside the U.S. She speaks on any number of ecological topics, but her passion is sharing the Cosmic Creation Story and its implications for life and faith.

Spinning Weekend in the Creative Arts Center at Jubilee Farm

Are you or is someone you know fascinated with the art of spinning yarn?

Are you a spinner looking for an opportunity to share the craft with others?

Come and join the fun!

This is a weekend for those who have never touched a wheel as well as those who have been spinning for years.  It is planned to be very informal.  No formal classes are scheduled.

Choose your hours to come during the times listed below.

Friday, September 13, 2019:   12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, September 14, 2019: 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

This weekend offers opportunity to observe experienced spinners and to practice on various wheels, 

If you have your own spinning wheel come, spin, and converse awhile.  If weather permits there is the option to spin outdoors.

Fee:  $25 for one day participation

          $40 for two days

Bring a snack to share.  Leave for meals or bring in your own food.  Refrigerator and microwave available.

(Limited housing available on site.)
